Every visit follows the same order

A commercial visit runs from top to bottom, and dry work like dusting comes before anything gets wet. We empty the trash first, because dragging a leaking bag across a clean floor means mopping it twice. Then we dust from the highest surface down: shelf tops, monitor stands, window sills, desks. Counters and door handles get wiped next. Restrooms and the break room come after that. The floors come last, from the back of the space toward the front door, so nobody crosses a wet floor on the way out.

You can tell a good visit the next morning without looking hard. Dust is gone from the desk edges and the monitor base, where a quick wipe usually misses. Fresh liners are in the trash cans, with no drip at the bottom. The restroom floor is clean behind the toilet and under the sink, which is where the smell starts. The break room sink is empty and dry, with no coffee ring on the counter. Papers on a desk stay where your staff left them.

Winter salt wears down commercial floors
