We're based on Neponset Street in Canton and clean homes and businesses in the towns around it.
Canton sits in the middle of the towns we cover, so none of them is a long drive. The housing changes as you go. Milton and Dedham have a lot of older houses with plaster walls and original wood floors. Sharon and Easton have more newer builds on bigger lots. Each one cleans a little differently, and we plan for that at the estimate.
What winter leaves inside a house here
From December into March, every trip through the front door brings road salt and sand in with it. It gets ground into the entry rug and leaves a white film on tile and wood floors. The windows stay shut and the heat runs, so dust settles faster than it does the rest of the year.
Plenty of older houses around Canton and Milton still heat with radiators or baseboard units. Both collect dust, and when the heat comes on in the fall you can smell it burning off. On a deep clean we get behind and under them, because a quick pass never reaches that far.
Spring brings its own mess. Pollen coats the sills and screens, and mud season ends up on the stairs and the mudroom floor. A deep clean once the ground dries out catches all of it at once.
Older houses clean differently from new ones
An older house in Dedham or Milton often has plaster walls and wood floors that don't like standing water. A wood floor wants a damp mop, never a wet one, and it helps to know the finish before anyone starts.
Newer houses in Sharon and Easton bring different work. There are more bathrooms to get through, and stone counters and tall windows show every streak. Stone also needs a cleaner that won't dull it, so we ask about it at the estimate.
